Sponsored Review: V 10 Plus ~ Vitamin C Serum

Hello ladies~ Back on September, I was contacted by Mr. Sasagawa from Kawaii Beauty Japan (KBJ) to fulfill a small survey. It is a survey about my skin condition and what kind of product that I need to cure my skin problem. After that, around the last week of September, I received a beauty products (choosen based on my survey result) from KBJ to tried. The product called V 10 Plus Serum.

What is V 10 Plus?
  • The letter "V" means Variety.
  • The number "10" refers to the 10 concepts of skin care which are namely:
1. No Paraben
2. No Artificial Colour
3. No Mineral Oil
4. No Chemical Fragrance
5. Water-Based
6. Customized Serums for 10 Skin Problems
7. Dermatologist - Tested
8. Visible Result in just 10 days
9. Color Therapy from colorful bottles
10. Made in Japan
  • And the words "PLUS" means that you can add our serum to your current skin care regimen.

V 10 Plus offer 10 different variants for different skin problem, and the variants are:
  • Biocell Serum (keep the skin youthful)
  • Amino Serum (Good for dryness)
  • Ceramide Serum (Good for dryness and sensitive skin)
  • Collagen Serum (Good for wrinkles and elasticity)
  • Hyaluronic Serum (Good for dry skin and inner dry)
  • Licorice Serum (Good for skin irritation and inflammation)
  • Placenta Serum (Good for whitening)
  • Pycnogenol Serum (Good for eliminating activated oxygen)
  • Vitamin A serum (serum for eye)
  • Vitamin C serum (Anti Acne)

My variant is V 10 Plus Vitamin C-serum which is works for anti acne.

What is Vitamin C?
Vitamin C has many good effects on the skin. It helps the synthesis of collagen in the skin, so that the pores are minimized. It also improves inflammatory pimples. For skin beauty, apply Vitamin C directly to the skin rather than take it orally, as in the latter case, large proportion of Vitamin C is used in the body and not for the skin.

Vitamin C is good for...
Pimples and pores. The Vitamin C in V 10 Plus Vitamin C serum is a Vitamin C derivative, which is stable and works efficiently. Also it contains OBAKU which control sebum secretion.

My opinion~

The Packaging:
Stored in a bottle with glass material and also comes with a pipette applicator. Since my serum is Vitamin C, the color of the bottle and also the serum is Yellow. The packaging definitely not travel friendly because it can be easily broke due of the glass material.

Texture and Smell:
The texture is very liquid similar to water. It has sour scent but not really strong. When I applied it on my skin, it absorbs quickly and leave me no greasy feeling. I love something that isn't sticky and absorbs quickly so this serum is one of my favourite.

I've been using this serum since the first day of October so it almost 1 month since then. I use this serum twice a day (morning and night). And here are the step by step about how to use this serum:

Step 1: Cleansing~ You can use any cleanser that suits your skin concerns and needs
Step 2: V 10 Plus Serum. Mix one to three drops of the serum onto palm and apply to face
Step 3: Continue with your own skin regime

Now let's see my before-after pictures~ Warning: not a nice pict!

So, above are my pictures. The left picture taken on early October and the right picture taken on 28th October. You can see I have a lot of acnes/blemishes and also large pores and some of dark spots *hikz*. Let me explain the pictures for you~

White Circles~ you can see on the left pictures I got many acnes which I mark with white circle. After using this serum for almost 1 month, you can see I no longer have the acnes anymore on right picture.

Black Circles~ The acnes on left picture which I mark with black circle are still there on the right picture. But it's no longer as red as the first one. Basically now it will be more suitable to call it acne scars.

So far, the serum works wonderfull to help with my acnes problem. As for my large pores, you can see it still quite visible (and pardon my blackheads >_<). I will continue to use this serum again to see more of good result. But for now, I will proudly say that I'm satisfied of this serum. Thank you so much for Kawaii Beauty Japan for introducing me to this serum.

October Haul

Good morning ladies~
This time I will post about what I got during this month. I didn't bought many new beauty products this month, because I want to save money for my next trip. I only buy things that I really need, so here we go~

  • Missha Super Aqua Relief Eye Cream
A new eye cream to replace my old one. This time I choose Missha. The scent is really fragrant and nice (thanks god! though I'm not smell it before but luckily it smells good this time. thanks to google wkwkwk).

  • Missha Super Aqua Cleansing Water
If the eye cream quite pleased me, the cleansing water isn't really pleased me. The scent is not even similar with the eye cream. To be honest I dislike the scent. Maybe I should stick with my Nature Republic cleansing water, it smells good and I like it.

  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide on Eye Pencil
One of my favourite eye pencil because the quality is good. I've already have some in travel size and decided to buy the real size this time. This is the only things that I bought because I want it, not because I need it wkwkwkwk. I always adore UD Glide on pencil and last month they had a sale for this product so I decided to bought one.

  • Unbranded green nail polish and The Face Shop White nail polish

  • Victoria's Secret Secret Charm Body Lotion and Body Mist
My favourite fragrance from VS~ My friend help me to bought these at Jakarta. I hope their first store at Surabaya will be open very soon. I've already saw the "under construction" counter at Galaxy Mall Surabaya.

  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Series ~ Moisturizer, Toner, Facial Wash
The cool and creamy wash is a new item that I've never tried before. The SPG try to demonstrate the cooling effect on my hand before I purchased it and I quickly fell in love with it hehehe. Will review about it later.

That's all for my haul post this month~ will talk to you again very soon :)

Product that I Regret Purchased: The Body Shop Vit E Eye Cream

Hello ladies~ Usually I don't write bad review or things that makes me regret to purchase. But, somehow right now I'm in the mood to make one. I rarely disappointed with my purchase cause mostly I've already googled it before I decided to bought it. But, of course there is a time when I "miss" the good one and got the bad one. And now me want to share it with you.

Please note~ I don't write this post because I dislike the brand (in fact this is my favourite brand of skincare) or the product. The product isn't suitable for me *that's true* and I just want to share my opinion. The same product maybe works wonderful for you and you may have different opinion.

Now let me start this review~ the product that I will talk about is The Body Shop Vitamin E Eye Cream. If you are an old reader of my blog, you maybe already knew how much I love tea tree series from The Body Shop (if you're new reader, now I tell you that I'm a big fan of tea tree series). Because I'm getting closer to the age that I want to deny but I can't (Read: OLD), I need some special treatment for my skin especially eyes area.  But, you know~ I'm very lazy when it comes to use eye cream. My previous eye cream was sample sachets from the skin food and I don't really like its thick texture cause it feels sticky on my eyes. So, when I ran out those samples, I went to The Body Shop counter and bought this eye cream.

  • Product Wise~
Why I decide to buy the product? because at that time the SPG a.k.a *mbak-mbak yang jaga* said that the texture of this eye cream is very light almost like lotion and it's not sticky at all. At first I want to try the "try-me-product" but they don't have one at that time. This is what I regret the most! Never ever buy beauty products without test them by yourself! (unless you buy online yah~ googling first before you buy). Actually the texture is indeed like the SPG said. But.... what bother me the most is the scent. It smells like an expired product. So awful and I can't stand the smell. Usually after I used it I need to smell perfume for a while so I can get rid of those unpleasant smell.

I checked the expired date (this is before I purchased it) and it said to be expired on 2015. But, unfortunately I didn't have any picture to show you now cause I already ripped the label. Why I ripped it? scroll down to know the reason. Anyway, this product sure not an expired product but why my cream smells so awful? Is it normally like this, or maybe only me that got a bad one? Later, I checked to the counter and at this time they already have a "try-me-product". I asked the SPG about the smell but she doesn't has any clue about what I mean. Then she provided me the sample to try on my hand. I smell it and YES IT SMELLS EXCATLY LIKE MINE! the SPG was in silent and can't say anything except "well, the smell is normally like that..."

Lesson learned: Try to smell the product before you buy it!

  • And what about the price?

To be honest, I already eyeing this product since long time ago. Whenever I visited the counter to restock my tea tree products, I always saw this eye cream (cause they placed it side by side, don't know if they already changed the decoration now). Since I've already knew it for quite long time ago, I also knew about the price. It was IDR 99.000 but, when I decided to bought it several months ago, they costed me IDR 149.000 for this little eye cream. Now, let's back to the reason why I ripped the label on the back of this cream. That's because I want to see the old price and yes, I was right. The price was IDR 99.000 but don't know since when they mark it up to IDR 149.000.

I bought this with IDR 99.000 on my mind but when finally I grabbed it, it shows IDR 149.000 wkwkwk. Well, this is purely my fault cause I don't bought it when it still under IDR 100.000 and now when the price already quite high I decide to buy it.

Lesson learned: Double checked the price before you grab the product to the cashier. lol.

  • Lastly, does it works on me?

Simply no for me. I used it for 2-3 weeks until finally I give up and can't take it anymore (somehow  I sound like a desperate girl who been treated badly by her boy wkwkwk) . Well, though I can't stand the smell of this product, I always think it for my own good and this product will works fine on me and it will makes me wrinkle free, etc. See how positive thingking I am. But, again I feel disappointed again cause I don't see any single effect from this. Blame me because I only use it for 2 weeks (and maybe couple days after that), yeah I know maybe I should use it for longer term to see the effect. But no, I decide to give up.

  • Bottom line~

I regret for buying this eye cream. From the price, the smell, and the effect, none of them are satisfied enough for me. Eventhough the main problem is my wrong decision lol. But, I put quite high expectation from this product.

Again, what works good on me doesn't means it will works good on you and what doesn't works good on me doesn't means it will works bad for you. Be wise and choose the product based on your skin condition. Cause no one know the right things for your skin except you. Though my review isn't really good, maybe some of you think that, this product works fine for you.

Beauty Treats Indonesia ~ October Edition

Hello ladies~
Today I want to share about my latest beauty box from beauty treats indonesia. All picturesare taken with my phone so the quality isn't really good. Sorry about that! because if I use my camera, it will take a longer time before I can publish this post. Well, because I want to share this unboxing post as soon as possible, I decide to use my phone this time. Now let's see what I've got for this month.

Firstof all, I want to praise BTI for their "on-time-delivery-service". You know, back then, they always popukar for being late. But, since the last month, I consistently received my box on 17th. and that is good! *I think they changed their shipping company, coz I notice they use TIKI since last month*

About the box~
they still use the concept "little black box" but this time with blue decoration. The box is still as light as last month. So, I think they don't put much items too for this month. I read the mini booklet first before I open my box and I notice that they didn't put any varieties items depends on my beauty profile. I think all the box consist the same items for this month. Hmmm what happened with our beauty profile and "we choose items based on what your skin need?"

Inside the box~ here are what I got:

  • Crabtree and Evelyn Lavender EDT and Himalayan Blue Body Lotion
Similar contents like last month but with different scent. I love their body lotion so much, so I'm quite happy that I got another sample of body lotion *since the full size is very expensive for me, I still consider to buy the full size or not. but, I'm still stick with my VS body lotion for now*. As for the EDT, like always it comes with very very small bottle.

  • Utama Spice Lavender Body Butter
Never heard about this brand before, but it is a local product from Indonesia. I rarely use body butter because I found it's too sticky for me. But since Lavender is one of my favourite scent, I will give it a try later.

  • Masami Shouko Small Blending Brush
Finally after many boxes, they come with a very helpful brush instead of sponge/make up puff. I'm really glad that they give me a blending brush for this month.

  • Lioele Vita Shake Pack
Got two pcs for this pack. The packaging is very cute like candy.

  • Laneige Samples~ Water Bank Essence, Water Bank Moisture Cream, Snow BB Cream
I only excited because of the BB Cream. As for the essence and the cream will go to my mom.

That's all for this month beauty box. If you want to subscribe to this beauty box, you can go to their website, Beauty Treats Indonesia.

Around two weeks ago, I got an award from the lovely ce Mindy. The award is quite unique and different from the other awards that I've already got. So, here is the rules:

*NOTE: The more you received this award, the more it shows that you are friendly and like to be their friend. :)

Actually I'm not really good at this, I also a little confused about to whom should I dedicated my note hahaha. I saw the others note and mostly they dedicated it to their closest friend. Well, to be honest I rarely talk a lot with my bloggers friends, mostly only exchange comment on blog or social media. So, kinda confused when I need to write this post.

Bridal Shower~

One of my best friend will getting married in couple of week. So, the last saturday me and my other friends decide to throw a special party for her. We already planned about this bridal shower event since last month. At first we want to hire party decorator or event organizer for this event but later we change our mind and decide to make the decorations by ourselves. Because, this is the first time we make this kind of party and we want to make this party special and memorable. So, we decide to divide the jobs between us. We manage the place, decoration, foods, and the games by ourselves.

My job is to prepare the decoration and another properties for the bride-to-be. I choose brown and beige color as the main color. We don't have special theme wkwkwk just going with the flow, cause everything keep changing everyday wkwkwk. This is what happened when you arrange the party all by yourself. The place for the party took place at my friend's living room. Choose this room cause we don't have much budget and also we want this to be a private party. So, we think restaurants or public place like mall will not suitable for our plan.

Here are my decoration~ I know it's veryyyy simple and I think it isn't too crowded. But it took the whole week to make and the whole day to set it all. *this is what you called amateur wkwkwk*

For the banner, I made the base from paper and top it with some cake paper (don't really know how to called it) then add the words "BRIDAL SHOWER". For the wall, my friend add more gold fabric between the banner. I made simple flowers for the center to hide the ugly double tape.

This is the corner table. We used tulle as a cover then add the handmade picture, crown, and also the "bride-to-be" scarf. I made the picture by myself *in case you curious wkwkwk* The concept is the bride were surrounded by all the friends.

And this is the main table. Full of cake and bread. There is a funny story behind the cake topper. I made it on last minutes. So, I just use the NCR paper from my office. You know the paper that we use to print invoice (or something like that) that have many colorfull layers. I use the yellow and pink color and printed some cute words and cut it with flower pattern. Decorated it a little with ribbon and voila~ hehehehe.. It goes the same for the glass~ I tied some ribbon and add the same paper like the cake topper.

For the final touch~ we bought some balloons and write cute message for every balloons.

And now..please welcome the brideeee (to-be). Well, she's not really surprised because we already late from our schedule and it makes her curious and can smell something fishy when we bought her to this room. hahahaha. Our pretty bride to be. She looks like miss universe here wkwkwkwk.

Now, let's take pictures!!!

She's reading each message that we wrote on the balloons~

annddd of course I need to take some selcas!!! wkwkwkwk

Flew the balloons and also our wishes for her. I wish you live happily ever after!

September Haul~ *late post*

Hi all~ It's time for haul post! September is already ended and now we welcoming a new month. Before that, let me show you some products that I bought last month. Actually I didn't bought many items last month and it makes me so proud of myself wkwkwkwk. Another achievement during September, I didn't do online shopping for the whole month! yeah!!! *okay, cheat one I did one when I purchased the L'oreal remover from Zalora, but that's because I got a free voucher so I must spend it no matter what hehehe*

  • First of all new Maybelline products! It's color tatoo in Tough as taupe and Bold Gold
  • Maybelline Hyperglossy Liquid Eyeliner
*Maybelline had a buy 2 get 3 promotion last month and with the help of pretty Oline, I decided to bought the color tatto and the eyeliner. Forgot the excact price but it below IDR 150.000 for those three.

  • The Body Shop Tea Tree Toner
Need to repurchase this item  because this is my daily toner
  • L'oreal Gentle Lip and Eye Make Up Remover
Remember my HG remover post? well, I decide to try the twin sister of that remover. It is from L'oreal. At first it looks very similar with Maybelline, right? Later I will write the full review about this remover. I bought this from Zalora, they have a bundle package so the price is more cheaper.

Freebies~ around August, I won a giveaway from Vanity Trove Indonesia, but they just send the prizes now. Here are what I got:

  • Maybelline Eye and Lips Waterproof Remover
  • Viva Eyebrow Pencil
  • The Body Shop Olive Shower Gel
That's all about my new items for September. It's not much, right? hehehehe. I decide to stop shopping especially online shopping for a while because I have a holiday plan on January *which is 3 months from now and that's means I need to save more money..argggh*
