Review: Redwin Sorbolene Moisturiser [Sponsored]

Hello again~
I'm quite productive lately, so proud of myself because I can blog more often. It's very hard to manage my time between work and blog. I need to steal some time during work-time to write this blog post hehehe *psst.. don't tell my boss*
Anyway, lately I've been concern more about skincare. As you maybe noticed, my latest post almost all about skincare and only few that discuss about cosmetic. This one is no other *pleaseee don't be bored with my post* I still talk about skin care, well, body care to be excact hehehe. Few weeks ago, I saw an interesting email in my inbox, it is a notice about writing competition by Redwin. I was curious about the brand because I never heard bout it before (it is sold at my local drugstore such as guardian, but I missed to notice it before). So, I decided to join the competition, after all I need to sharpen my writing skill because I'm become more and more lazy to write hehehehe.

A little about Redwin, Redwin is a body care brand from Australia. The famous product from Redwin is Sorbolene and it was crowned as Number 1 Sorbolene in Australia. Sorbolene is a moisturizing cream that has a simple characteristic, because it contains no parabens, no fragrances, and artificial coloring. With that advantages, Redwin goes with "Nothing but Goodness for Sensitive Skin" as their tagline. Redwin also safe for babies and toddlers.

After complete the registration, Redwin kindly sent me the famous Sorbolene product to try and share my opinion about it.

Redwin Sorbolene Moisturizer
Doesn't contain any harsh detergents, colourings, and fragrances
Sorbolene is suitable for even the most sensitive skin
Formulated to heal, soothe, protect and nurture red, chapped, dry, flaky, and damaged skin
Redwin creates a protective barrier, that locks in moisture deep within your skin

Packaging:
This sorbolene comes with a tube plastic packaging. It consists 100g product. At a glance, this product is really something that you bought for babies/kids. Because the packaging is really simple and only play with pastel colors *which is identic with babies products*. The main color is broken white / light beige, it looks a little bit dull for me. But again, I guess "simple" is their main concept so this is really suits its concept. Because this is imported from Australia, the local importir put a sticker as a description in Bahasa. This is really help for those who don't understand english very well.

The tube is tightly sealed when the first time I receive it. So it is guarantee as a new product. I always love every company that provide a seal on their packaging. Because it makes the product more exclusive and hygiene.

Texture and Scent:
The texture of this product is like lotion. The consistency of the lotion is not too runny but not really thick when I squeeze it out from the tube. The color is white. When I try to rub it on my skin, the lotion consistency become more thicker and the color become milky white. Need to rub several times before the lotion completely absorb. Because of the consistency I always use a little amount of this lotion. At first I use a lot because I think it is like another body lotion, but I was wrong.

Redwin claimed that their product is fragrance free. I can't smell any fragrant scent from this lotion, but I can smell slightly some scent. It is like the scent that we usually smell when we go to doctor / hospital. It reminds me when I step my feet into my dentist's room (maybe it is the natural scent? don't know much about it, but I guess it is true that they don't put any fragrance in this product). It is only slightly and it fade away quickly after the lotion completely absorb. I can only smell it when I put my skin on my nose closely. So far, the scent don't bother me at all.

This moisturizer took time to absorb and after it completely absorb, I can feel some thick layer on my skin. It doesn't sticky but it give a thick feeling. Like using a lot of cream on my skin (the fact, I only apply a little), but it is really makes my skin feels moisturized and supple.

Main Ingredients:
Redwin Sorbolene Moisturizer stated that it contains 10% plant derived glycerine. What is that? Glycerine (or glycerol) is a colorless, odorless liquid produced from plant oils that is widely used pharmaceutical formulations. Glycerine often added to lotion, shampoo, toothpaste, etc because it is a humectant; a substance that attracts moisture to the skin. (Source: here). Glycerine is used in medical and pharmaceutical and personal care preparations mainly as a means of improving smoothness, providing lubrication, and as a humectant. (source:here)

So, basically the main introduction about Sorbolene is a conclusion about this ingredient. It is colourless, fragrance free and moisturize your skin. And suitable for sensitive skin and even for babies. Next is Vitamin E. Vitamin E is an antioxidant that protects and repairs skin. It also keeps skin from aging.

How To Use It:
I use it only on my arm and foot. Because those are the parts that I have problem with dry skin. For my foot, as you can see in the picture, it is very dry. As for my arm, it is also dry and I have some rough skin around my upper arm (left arm). I use this moisturizer as a body lotion for almost 1 month and the result is really good. My dry skin become more supple and no more dry patches / rough skin.

  1. Wow, that's what I was searching for, what a stuff! I really like the way you describe. A good body lotion is an essential part of a good skincare regime. So i regularly use sakare's body lotions.
